Kidd Kraddick
Sensitive. Friendly. Hilarious. Kidd Kraddick is the driving force behind Kidd Kraddick In The Morning.
Kidd Kraddick decided his career while serving as 10th grade class president.
“We sponsored a big dance for the seniors but didn’t have enough money to hire a deejay. So I snuck out my dad’s stereo and did it myself.”
From there he was hooked. After stints as a nighttime teen idol in Miami, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, and Tampa (where he was given the name “Kidd” by a program director), Kraddick took his show to Dallas, where he quickly made the transition to morning drive. The conversations and stories on air range from mundane to profoundly honest.
But it’s not just the openness of the show that has made his show top-rated in virtually every possible demographic. Kraddick’s big heart has also played a part.
Each year, through fund-raisers and special events, his non-profit organization raises over a hundred thousand dollars to send children to Disney World. For over ten years, Kidd’s Kids has provided free trips for the families of hundreds of chronically and terminally ill children. Kraddick fills the seats of a 737 airplane each November and spends four days helping the children fulfill a fantasy. A film chronicling the trip won last year’s prestigious Videographer Award of Excellence.
Kraddick’s numerous awards include the WB Radio Music Award for America’s Best Radio Personality, named to the Ten Outstanding Young Americans by the American Junior Chamber, Major Market Personality Of The Year by Radio and Records, and the distinguished Marconi Award for radio personality of the year. |

Kellie Rasberry
Kellie was born and raised in SC, but moved to the big city to join Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on May 31, 1994.
Kellie had aspirations of becoming an actress, but the owner of a local radio station saw her at a talent convention and thought she had the perfect personality for radio. She began by sitting in with the morning show and got paid only if and when they used her. After four months of showing up with donuts every day, the news girl quit and Kellie got her old job. She went on to host her own morning show and then, after a friend saw an ad in a trade magazine about working with some guy named Kidd, she auditioned for the job and got it. And thus was the beginning of the Kraddick/Rasberry Chemistry.
Since working with KKITM, Kellie has won several Favorite Female Radio Personality of the Year awards, had a small part in the made-for-TV movie, "Holiday In Your Heart," starring LeAnn Rimes, co-hosted the videocast of the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, and co-hosted an episode of "Live! With Regis" during the "Women of Radio" week.
Kellie is the proud mother of Emma Kelly, born on October 19, 2006.

While voicing live advertisements for his limo service (First Impression Limousine) during “The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show,” Kidd recognized that “Big Al” had a unique talent and he began including him in morning show bits. The rest, as they say, is history!
Eternally single, big al’s biggest conflict within him is that he loves spending time with his friends and in a group setting, however, he often finds himself hanging out alone. He has hundreds of girls digits in his “MACKBERRY” but he can never find a date!
He has been kicked out of starbucks for stripping down to his boxers, been kicked out of walmart for having a bicycle race inside the store, been kicked out of IHOP for climbing on top of the booths trying to be spiderman, and the list goes on and on!

Let’s see… here is a lil bit about me: I was born in Mexico City and made a living by selling Chiclets. I pretty much made a killin with a whopping $487.75 a year. I was kicked off my corner by a much bigger and stronger kid so I gave up selling Chiclets. I was inducted into the Chiclets Hall of Fame back in 1998. Ok, I am kidding about the selling Chiclets… or am I? I like to be mysterious.
My family moved to California in 1991 and on my first day of school 3 older kids jumped me and stole my popcorn. I ended up growing up physically (my mind is still stuck in 5th grade) and fell into radio. How? I have no idea, It literally just happened. I actually wanted to be a nurse.
I have been with my girlfriend… I mean fiancé, Kinsey, since we were 18 years old and will be getting married next year!!! I did totally screw up the proposal by forgetting how to speak and forgetting to get down on one knee. I have two dogs: Dex and Delilah. Dex is cool, and Delilah is a lil devil who eats all my hats, and likes to poo and pee everywhere.
I am a HUGE football fan (GO CHARGERS!!!). I have met tons of awesome celebs thanks to this job… except my idol Eminem : ( Maybe someday it will happen (hint hint). I like to eat pretty much anything and my best friend is my PS3. Wanna know more? Just email me! |

Now I’m a little bit older and the Producer of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. If you asked me what a producer does, I wouldn’t know what to say. I just kind of show up every day.

Well, I grew up in the good old Midwest and apparently can’t shake my accent. I prefer to blame this on all my Chicago native girlfriends. Growing up an only child has made me fiercely independent and majorly stubborn. I always begged for siblings and finally got 2 when my dad remarried! Being back in Dallas has been great because I’m close to all my family again which is what I’ve been missing all these years spent in the cold!
I may not look it now, but I was a total soccer-playing tomboy until high-school. Then I got my first eyebrow wax and it was all downhill from there. Now I have the monthly dilemma of either furnishing my apartment or buying clothes and let’s just say that I eat standing up in my kitchen.
I got my media start working for my college TV station at Miami University in Ohio, where I quickly learned that a career in news reporting was not a good fit for me. Cutting my hair into a bob, wearing a suit and interviewing victims of crime everyday is just not my personality! I would much rather be goofy and get ridiculed for it in front of millions of people every morning! I’ve been the phone screener/zine scener for KKITM since November of 2008 and I’m loving every minute of it…well not so much the minute I wake up at 4:15 in the morning, but you get what I’m saying:)

1. Why the name "Jammer"?
It's so silly. My old boss in Providence, Rhode Island, at kix 106 said to me, "We need a name for you. You look like a 'Jammer'!" I responded, "Ok. If I have to." And its been that way since 1991.
2. Why did you return to New Orleans?
I was with Mix 104.1 from 1995 until 1998. I've always loved New Orleans, and when the opportunity arose to work at B97 i thought "I love the people, the station, the city is great, and very infectious. It has a different vibe that any other part of the country. I couldn't be happier"
3. Whats your favorite part of working at a station like B97?
The variety of the music, fun promotions, the vibe and level of excitement from the listeners. The audience at B97 gives the young, the old and everything in between..its like, "wow."
4. What celebrities have been your most and least favorite to meet during you career in radio?
Beyonce, as a favorite, cuz she's really really small.
5. Really? Would have thought the opposite.
No, she's like 4'11" small. And the worst, i have 2. That dude from Dumb and Dumber, Jeff Daniels! Such a *%$#!. I wanted to punch him in the throat. And Meredith Brookes. I asked her who she hated in the industry in an on air interview, and she screamed at me. She really is a bitch, definitely. |

1. How did you become the world’s best mix DJ? What made you want to start?
I don't consider myself the best but thanks for the compliment. What made me want to start is , 1st off I love music that's a start 2nd A friend of mine is a Famous DJ in New Orleans "DJ SPIN" got me into it ,I used to go on gigs with him back in 1998 and I loved the way he worked a crowed I like how playing music for people in a club made them so happy like all there worries and sadness from the whole week went out the door for the time they spent with us.the attition you get is great and free drinks is better.
2. What’s your favorite hype up phrase? (eg – make some noise, lemme hear ya, (fill in blank) in the house, etc.)
AHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHH!!!!! Anybody that knows me knows me for that and still makes fun of me for that because that's all I would say on the mic.
3. Come on be honest, there is a song you don’t have in your Totally On Demand mobile DJ database. What is it?
I have everything but country music, so if you ask for that I don't have it.
4. Do you hope that your son Eddie Jr (E.J.) becomes a mobile DJ too, and if so, will you two face off in awesome father/son battles, and finally, how bad will he school you?
Yeah I want E.J. to become a D.J. but I think he'll end up a producer like Timberland . He all ready plays on my Turntables , he's not supposed to but he finds his way. If we were to face off it would be a good battle young grasshopper but he would school me.
5. What’s your favorite party spot in New Orleans?
I like any kind of bar that plays good music.
Let me introduce my self. I go by the birth name of Eddie . Everybody else calls me Speedy, and no not because of that. I know what you were thinking.
Just in case you were thinking how did I get into radio,well to make a long story short. Right after "The Storm" there wasn't any place for me to DJ so I said what the hey I'll try radio. (Thanks Mike for letting me in!) Yep that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I've been here @ The Mighty B for 2 years now. I'm on Sat nights from 8p till 12mid on a little show called Totally on Demand where you can request anything you want to and I do mean anything."TRY ME". I've been a DJ all over this city, from Bourbon St to Fat City to Bolixi. NOW I can bring my DJing skills to everyone in New Orleans at one time. (Pretty Freaking Cool) I can get your party started before you walk into the club.
I was born and raised right here in the N.O. AAAAAEEEEE, and lived everywhere from Kenner to Metairie to Uptown to St. Benard and yes even the Westbank so everyone in New Orleans is like family to me. I love this crime infested pot hole ridden no left turn having floods every time it rains best food in the world city we all call NEW ORLEANS. I can now say I have been all over the US and there is NO place like the DIRTY SOUTH. Huge Saints fan all ways have been. I am of both Spanish and Italian Heritage but I consider my self a true blooded Neworleanen American (this is starting to sound like a Myspace profile). Don't get me wrong I love Fajitas and Pizza but there is nothing and I do mean nothing like Crawfish and Drago's oysters and a shrimp or oyster or roast beef poyboy dressed with some crystal hot sauce on top.. HELL YEAH....lol. SO I guess I'm going to die here. OH WELL. At least I know what Im going to die of .. Either another freaking hurricane or being obeast.lmao. 1. At age 7, you wanted to be….?
A rhinoceros! I was an extremely hyper active kid. Eating on a rhino's appetite would give me the energy required to continuously butt people with my mighty horn.... I'm better now, thanks.
2. If you could have 3 celebs at dinner, who would they be (all living. Dinner with dead people is gross.)?
Chelsea Handler: Have you watched her show Chelsea Lately? She's hysterical!
Zach Braff: Always plays a dorky, white guy with a knack for putting his foot in his mouth; guess I can relate.
Janet Jackson: She consistently releases music on the cutting edge of it's genre; plus we might be treated to a wardrobe malfunction.
3. Were you good in school?
The aforementioned hyper activity got me in lots of trouble in grammar school; sitting still was a real challenge. One of my specialties was spinning around to the back of my chair, then balancing my body on it. Legs in the air, forearms placed on the desk; I'd start doing push-ups, right in the middle of our vocab lessons. Let's just say I was sent to the school psychologist more than once.
4. What’s your favorite drink?
At the bar- Kettle One Vodka and Soda; I learned early that top shelf wouldn't hurt as much the next day. Otherwise- Water; cuts down on the hangovers.

1. This question came to me as one day I came into the B97 studio and was TRYING to have a conversation with Coty, and for some reason he just kept looking at this bag of chips in my hand. Coty, if you were sentenced to die…. What would your last meal consist of?... AND DON’T SAY MY CHIPS!.
What no chips it's madness i tell you! Ok for real if i had to choose the last food I would eat it would be a huge steak and fries with A1 sauce. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Way to go...i'm hungry now.
2. So we know about Coty, the young, sassy, and often flirtatious dude we hear on air on the weekends, but we don’t know about Coty, the man off air. What would you consider is your favorite place to go, or your favorite activities to do in New Orleans?
Well I love the french quarter. No doubt about that and as for my favorite things to do in town well lets see I like to go to the aquarium and the zoo those are at the top of my list but as soon as thats over i go to bourbon to finish of the perfect day in New Orleans.
3. Well, I have occasionally walked in the studio on you engaging in a conversation with a number of young ladies over the B phone, and was like “ok umm girlfriends”??LOL I’m kidding. But what would you say would be the perfect night with your significant other??
Ok i have to say i'm alittle romantic and no one can get mad at me for that. It would start out at ZEA the food there is grrrreat! then maybe a moonlit stroll at the river front and then it would probably end up on Bourbon. I know i have a problem.
4. You’ve mentioned so many things to me you would like to do with your life, aspiring radio d.j., World class Sudoku champion, and even dirty night club owner, but I want to lay all those ideas on the table now and ask you, What do you want to do when you grow up?
Well ok my goal is to be an actor. The silver screen calls my name or well at least it sounds like my name.
5. Look around the room you are in now. Ok... umm get in a room than. You in?? Ok tell me the first picture you see?
Me and my friends at the aquarium we all blew off work one day and went it was alot of fun and spur of the moment I was very happy and i looked like i was in a sharks mouth i will have to show everybody one day.
6. If you had “ONE BILLLLLION DOLLLARS”, what would you splurge on??
Oh wow i would buy cars wait thats selfish i would give to charity and then i woud by cars a viper. Yeah thats right daddy wanna go fast!
7. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I have thought about this one alot I would want to fly. Because gas is crazy even if it going down.
8. What if your favorite place to eat, it could be anything from home cooked food, restaurant, or even gas station food.
Chateau Martin, my dads house because he keeps me in steaks, fries and A1. As you may know that would be my dying meal.
9. We will keep you identity hidden, because we know you’re a very secretive person, but why did you pick the radio name Coty, if that is your name.
Well as secretive as you may think i am that is my real name. Well it's my middle name I was always called that from birth. Funny story i was called that all my life and then the first day of school came and then they decide to tell me that Coty was my middle name and that i should answer to my first name.
10. Final question, what reality show would you give you anything to compete on, and do you think you’d have a shot to win?
I love New York! I would do that show in a heart beat because i wanna be famous and isn't that why everybody got on that show. Oh wait did I jus mess up my chances with new york. Dang-it! |

1. So, Lil Tony, people call you Tony the tiger. Is that because of the cereal or are you just GGGGGGreat!?
Well first off thank you for the compliment. My greatness is something I cannot live without. But yes, the other reason speaks true also. When I was little my favorite cereal was Frosted Flakes, and when I found out the Tiger’s name was Tony, I was ecstatic. Every so often I will meet people who will sing the “Hey Tony” Frosted Flakes song.
2. If you could trade places with anyone for a day who would it be and why?
I would want to trade places with ESPN sportscaster Chris Berman. He has always been one of my idols and it would be cool to go to a baseball game and use his catchphrase, “Back.. Back.. Back… and gone”.
3. Ok Lil Tony, gettin' deep here. I know about your crush on Jessica Beil, but whats this I here about a man crush?
Well, First off, I believe everyone has a man crush, even if you’re into the ladies. I would have to say the 1980’s Patrick Swayze right around the time he made Dirty Dancing… ok I happened to find his dashing and handsome… what of it.
4. Whats your favorite hobby when your not playin the hits on the Mighty B?
I love to cook. It is a major hobby of mine. I like watching sports and going to a local bar and chowin down on some hot wings and a few brews. My other hobbies are working out, singing, learning my guitar, and annoying people.
5. Now Little Tony you have got to answer this next question and it's the one that divides the nation. Chocolate or Vanilla Ice cream?
Well just like there is an Afternoon Swirl on B97, I’m gonna tie in that corny analogy I just said and say swirl.
6. You have lived in New Orleans since birth, right. So wheres your favorite place to get some grub and what do you order?
I am a major sushi freak. So I LOVE going to Sake Café, and a few other hole in the wall places. So if you ever want to hang out, Sake Café in Kenner is where it’s at.
7. If you could go back in time and change one thing about your life, would you and why?
I don’t think I need to change anything. I am proud of the way I am and the person I have and continue to be growing into…. Damn what’s with the seriousness in than answer haha.
8. Ok, enough with Barbara Walters questions, we have all heard you talk about your career in male modeling but if that falls threw whats your back up career?
I most likely would be a chef if I wasn’t doing radio, because I love cooking and I have a lot of crazy recipes I would like to share with the world. You have not lived until you had Cajun sweet potato soup.
9. Out of all the people you have met through B97 who was your favorite?
Well everyone at B97 gets my love equally so I will dab on each one. Coty has been a great person to talk to every time I walk in for my shift. Speedy always cracks me up. TPot is nice to talk to and is what I call the B97 eye candy haha. Annette on the Net is very cheery and that rocks. Duncan, well I don’t see him much, but he is good to talk to also. Stevie, I’ve known him for a while now, pre my B97 employment, and he’s always been as funny as he is now. And last, Jammer is new to B97, but is quickly becoming a great friend and motivator.
10. Last but not least can I have your social security number? Joke! Seriously though if you had a billion dollars what would that money go to? And don't say you would put the girls at Rick's Cabaret through college. Thats a great idea though!
I’d never go to Ricks, I have standards. Anywho, if I had that much money, I’d first take care of the people who taken care of me such as mom and dad. Than I would buy me a nice Cadillac Escalade, Hybrid of course, and that I would open up Lil Tony’s Sushi restaurant. |
