Does your high school football team have what it takes to be THE team of the week? Each week, B97 picks a team that's on a roll, had a huge game, shown the most spirit or stands out from the pack.

WEEK 10: EAST JEFFERSON
On the night of Friday, Nov 4th, it was the district rivalry game between the Warriors of East Jefferson and the Bonnabel Bruins at Joe Yenni Stadium and it was a shut out. The warriors won 18-0 over the Bruins making East Jefferson High School this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week. eastjefferson.jpschools.org


WEEK 9: RIVERSIDE ACADEMY
On Friday, October 28th, the Country Day Cajuns hosted a district showdown with the Riverside Rebels.  Going into this game, both teams were undefeated.  The Rebels forced four turnovers that resulted in 14 points pushing the Rebels to a 32-7 victory over the Cajuns making Riverside Academy this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.  riversideacademy.com


WEEK 8: NORTHSHORE PANTHERS
Friday night, Oct 21st, was the district 6-5A match up between Northshore and Covington at Jack Salter Stadium. This was the Panthers first win at this stadium with a score of 34 to 24 over Covington.  This victory also makes it very likely for the Panthers to see post season play for the first time since 2008 making Northshore High School this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week. northshorehigh.stpsb.org


WEEK 7: BROTHER MARTIN CRUSADERS
Friday, 10/14, Zephyr field hosted Holy Cross' homecoming game against Brother Martin. From the beginning, Brother Martin dominated both sides of the ball and was nearly unstoppable. Quarter back John Paul Pierce threw for 4 touchdowns spoiling Holy Cross' homecoming with a final score of 42 to 10 making the Brother Martin Crusaders this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.  brothermartin.com


WEEK 6: DE LA SALLE CAVALIERS
On Friday, October 7th, DeLaSalle played KIPP. With both teams scoring touchdowns on Kick off returns during the first 34 seconds of the game, one would think this game would be close between DeLaSalle and KIPP; however, in addition to this kick off return, the Cavaliers went on to score touchdowns on a punt return, a pass, a rush and an interception defeating KIPP 66 -18. The win keeps the Cavaliers undefeated streak going and makes De La Salle this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week. delasallenola.com
 

WEEK 5: JESUIT BLUE JAYS
The rivalry game between Jesuit and Holy Cross that dates back to 1922 took place Friday night, September 30th, at Tad Gormely stadium.  The Blue Jays went into halftime with a 10-0 lead and never looked back, winning the game 38-0.This was the 34th shut out in the history of the series making Jesuit this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week. jesuitnola.org


Destrehan
WEEK 4: DESTREHAN WILDCATS
It is always an exciting game when River Parish rivals, Destrehan and Hahnville play each other; but on September 23rd it was a thriller.  The roller coaster ride of a game was tied at 28 with 10 seconds left, fist year kicker, Bradley Quinn kicked a 27 yard field goal to give the Wildcats their 5th consecutive victory over archrival Hahnville with a score of 31-28 in both teams District 7-5A opener! WEEK 3: HOLY CROSS TIGERS
On Friday, September 16th, Holy Cross was leading 24-22 against Chalmette with 2:09 minutes remaining. Kenneth Carradine broke through the Chalmette line and blocked a potential game-winning 37 yard field goal attempt that Laiton Johnson returned for 60 yards to give Holy Cross its first victory of the season in their annual rivalry against Chalmette with a final score of 31-22. WEEK 2: JOHN CURTIS PATRIOTS
On Friday night, September 9th, West Monroe hosted John Curtis.  After trailing 10 -7 at halftime, the Patriots were able to force a fumble on the Rebels opening drive of the second half.  This was the spark the Patriots needed to propel them to a 27-13 victory over the rebels and move up in the metro area rankings to No.2. That win makes The John Curtis High Patriots this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week!  johncurtis.com


WEEK 1: RUMMEL RAIDERS

Saturday night (9/3/16) at Joe Yenni Stadium, Rummel took on Universtiy. Raider quarterback, Jacob Palmo, tossed 4 touchdown passes to Ja'Marr Chase to capture a 28-14 victory over University. Chase broke the Rummel School record for receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in a single game making this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week Rummel High School. rummelraiders.com
