Justin Timberlake Announces February Release for New Album, 'Man of the Woods'

The Album's First Single Is Expected to Drop on Friday

January 2, 2018

The new year means new music from Justin Timberlake. In fact, this is the best news we've heard so far in 2018. Yes, it's safe to say that we're super excited about Justin Timberlake's latest announcement.

JT dropped a surprise this morning by announcing plans for an upcoming album, Man of the Woods. The album will be released on February 2, but it sounds like the first single could drop on Friday (January 5).

The album's release will coincide with JT's highly-anticipated performance at this year's Super Bowl halftime show, which will take place two days after the album drops.

Timberlake shared a short video this morning, where he discusses how personal the album is to him.

“This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve written, where I’m from,” he says in the video.

Speculation about the album's first single stems from this tweet, which simply says, "FRIDAY."

Man of the Woods is Timberlake's first album since The 20/20 Experience 1 and 2 were released back in 2013. His most recent single, "Can't Stop The Feeling," was released in 2016 for the movie Trolls
