I tried my hand at making a wreath. I got the inspiration from Pinterest. It's not exactly like the ones on Pinterest. I put my own little spin on the burlap wreath. I'm so excited cuz it's the first time I made a wreath. I'm sure the next time I make one for spring or winter I will get better at it.
Yesterday Stevie, Natty, Chloe, and I took a trip to the Northshore. It was fun even though the store we went to visit was closed. On the ride back I saw this lovely sunset. I like when I see something so beautiful and so natural. I made Stevie take a pic and I think he did a great job of capturing it's beauty.
My due date is about 19 days away and I am so exctied. Everyday I think of different reasons why I love being a mom. Since I only have one kid, the reasons revolve around Natty.
Whenever I go through the pictures on my phone I always find random pics of her doing things. It makes me laugh every time. She is 5 and knows how to get in my phone and use the camera, play games, or whatever she feels like. She doesn't send text yet because she can't read.
There will come a day when she sends text to my friends though. I bet that will be funny to me, but annoying to them. But in the meantime, seeing her random pictures makes my day.
She took this one last weekend after we came back from Disney on Ice.
There has been a shakeup with the strawberry lemonade at Jazzfest!!! I saw this article on nola.com. It turns out, it's not made by the same person who made it famous in the first place. I don't know how I feel about this. I don't know if I could ever tell the difference.
I was kinda bummed out that I can't go to Jazzfest this year since I'm at the end of my pregnancy. I was looking forward to the strawberry lemonade, and some of my other favorites. I guess I will have to follow an internet recipe and make it myself at home.
There are certain things that Natty does that reminds me of me when I was a kid. I love it. It brings me back to a special place. She loves these cream colored gloves and wears them all the time. Even though it is warming up outside, she wears these gloves a lot.
The gloves remind me of when I was a kid I had this cheeta print undershirt and I LOVED it so much. I would wear it all the time. Life was so simple then. I remember waiting for my mom to do laundry just so I could wear this undershirt again. It was such a special time and so funny. I hope when Natty is a mom she can look back and remember fun stuff like that too.
At night my very hyper but sweet dog Sally cuddles up to fall alseep and her favorite spot is right there on my belly. It's weird because I have never had a dog that was all about me. If someone approaches the house my dog Audrey is right by the door freaking out but Sally stays by my side. She stands there next to me and watches the door. It makes me feel like she's staying there in case she needs to protect me. She knows I'm in a delicate way LOL
She might be all stinky, but she's my little stinky :)
I am totes obsessed with looking at my eyebrow waxings! I wax my own, which is why they look the way they do. I'm always amazed at how much or how little hair comes off in the wax. Can you say freak of nature? Yes, that's me.
The coolest thing is that my sister went to school to be an aesthetitian and I usually send her a pic of my eyebrow hairs cuz I figure she's the only one who will appreciate my weirdness. So see, there's two of us.
People don't respect time enough. It really speaks volumes when you are late to do something with someone. Whether it's a meeting or dinner, you really say how you feel about that person when you show up 30 minutes late or not at all.
Are people late as a way to be passive aggressive? They want to tell you they don't like you, or don't care, so they just show up late as a way to spit on you.
The point is, try your hardest to be on time. Don't be passive aggressive about it. If you don't want to be there, then let the other party know.
