Family Gras
Friday, February 1st - Saturday, February 2nd
Veterans at Severn in Metairie
 
The free festival happens on the neutral ground across from Lakeside Mall along with the parking lots on the other side of Veterans. The event is free.  Headliners this year include Cowboy Mouth, Blues Traveler, Soul Asylum, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.  Details here

Mystic Krewe of Mardi Paws

Dress your pooch in costume and parade by the lake!  There's a new route - ff the bike path to Lakeshore Drive. This year's theme is "Mardi Paws Gets Doggone Wet!"    Details here

BTE continues their annual Mardi Gras parties with two concerts. On Friday night, the album "How Does Your Garden Grow" is performed in it's entirety and special guest Sister Hazel.  On Saturday night, the band welcomes special guest Big Sam's Funky Nation.

Lundi Gras offers beau coup Family fun and it is all lagniappe! Dat’s right. It’s free!  We’re talkin’ a day jam packed with music, food, and friends. Down here that’s a recipe fit for a King! – and His Queen! After all, the Royal Court will pass right in front of you. So c’mon down and enjoy the free concerts and take part in the revelry. Rivertown Lundi Gras Celebration

At the River the King of Zulu and the King of Argus parades each meet and toast to Fat Tuesday, live music, games, food, and more!  David Batiste & Sons will take the stage at 11:30 a.m. and play until 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event which has been held annually since 1999.  kenner.la.us
