WEEK 10: Newman


Despite a solid running game, Newman still needed a defensive stop with under two minutes to go and only up by 5 against West St John. On Senior Night, Alex Abramson jumped a route for a pick-6 to make the final score 33-22, making this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week the Isadore Newman Greenies.
 

WEEK 9: Chalmette


Helen Cox hosted Chalmette on Halloween night. Chalmette needed to win to stay atop the District race. Chalmette definitely got their treats with a 42-3 victory over Helen Cox bringing their district record to 5 and1 making the Chalmette Owls this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 8: De La Salle


It was a district 9-3A matchup over the weekend between De La Salle and St. James. De La Salle preserved their undefeated record with a 41 – 16 victory giving them one of the best season starts in school history and making the Cavs this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 7: Archbishop Shaw


This week its off to the Westbank where Archbishop Shaw took on Belle Chasse High School. At one point the score was tied 28-28, but in the end running back Trey Ragas rushed for 255 yards and 4 touchdowns on 32 carries to lead Shaw to a 49-34 victory. That helped push them over the edge and to make Archbishop Shaw High School this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 6: Rummel


There were a lot of teams playing for a win on the weekend of 10/9, however there was one team playing specifically to win for their head coach. The Rummel Raiders fought hard for a victory over Holy Cross giving head coach Jay Roth his 200th win! And it makes the Rummel Raiders this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 5: Holy Cross


Tad Gormely was the setting for the 96th Meeting of the Catholic League rivalry between Holy Cross and Jesuit. This game is one of the most anticipated in the city and it definitely did not disappoint in action. It was a close, hard-fought battle, but Holy Cross prevailed in double overtime 28-21 making the Holy Cross Tigers this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 4: Destrehan High School


It's one of the metro areas most anticipated games of the year, the rivalry in the River Parishes! Hahnville vs Destrehan. As good as Hahnville's defense is, the Wildcats rolled to 5 first half touchdowns and cruised to a 48 to 23 victory making Destrehan High School this week's B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 3: Brother Martin


When a team scores 41 points, you would think they would win; however, that was not the case during the weekend of 9/18/2015. Karr put up a hard fought battle scoring 41 points against Brother Martin, but in the end, Brother Martin’s Bruce Jordan Swilling carried 29 times for 259 yards and five touchdowns! Add to that a 30 yard field goal by kicker Blake Perriloux which clinched a final victory score of 44-41 making the Brother Martin Crusaders this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 2: Mandeville High School


In a city known for famous brothers playing football, there may be a couple you should keep your eye on. The Mandeville Skippers travelled to Lake Charles to take on the Barbe Buccaneers, where Cody Orgeron, son of LSU assistant coach, Ed Orgeron threw two touchdowns to his twin brother, Parker, within a 3 minute span helping the Skippers defeat the Bucs 22-7 and advancing their record to 2-0. And making Mandeville High School this week’s B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week.
 

WEEK 1: John Curtis High School


Ranked #3 in class 5A, the Patriots of John Curtis rushed for 355 yards and 5 touchdowns the weekend of 9/4 resulting in a 41 to 20 victory over Landry Walker. That commanding victory makes The John Curtis High School Patriots this weeks B97 Go Auto High School Team of the Week!
